ROD RICHARDSON '61

Ron RICHARDSON from Australia is the owner of this cool inspired '61... Paint is all original (crazy...) and the speedomoter only shows 54.000 miles... I loved at first sight this unrestored car. Engine combo is a heavy 2276 cc with 11:1 compression ratio... Some specs in no particular order : Weber 48 IDA, 2 inch Ron Lumus Racing Exhaust, Flat 4 BRM (which will be replaced soon by Spun aluminium wheels), Flat 4 GTV Steering Wheel, Berg Shifter, CB Performance dropped spindles, Close ratio gear box - Jay Cee aluminium spool.

Rod want to note that the car was built by Peter PAGE and that it has run a 12.87 @ 101.86 mph on slicks and a 13.40 @101.35 on street tyres.... Great!

Note that it's a right hand drive model and read the number plate later to be replaced by one with the words "48IDA". Cool or what?

BRYAN PETERS '67

Bryan PETERS is the owner & builder of this awesome '67 hardtop beetle. And he certainly knows what the words Old School means. I simply fell in love with this car and his perfect stance.

Bryan is the third owner of this '67 that has never been hit or damaged. Color is the famous VW Lotus White while the great rims are the now very rare American Racing Libre wheels sporting some 145's front and 205x70's rear. Man, I'm so excited to see some kind of rims different from the BRMz...

Interior of the car shows some Scat Pro 90 lowback seats, a Berg shifter and some VDO gauges.

Trans relies on a 4.12r&p with stock gearing and a super diff, welded 3rd and 4th, hardened keys and shift forks and h.d. side, type 2 mounts with Sway a Way axles. Great combo...

The front beam is narrowed 2 inches and has CB Performance drop spindles and disc brakes while the larger rear brakes comes from a Type 3.

Engine is a cool 78.5x94 (2176cc) with CB Performance 044 port & polished heads, 120 cam, 8.5 to 1 c.r., 45 dells, full flowed, stainless lines, System 1 filter, 92 plate cooler w/fan, Al`s 1&5/8 merged header, A1 Kafer Cup muffler. Sheetmetals are all powder coated.

Awesome car really... Well done Bryan!

JEFF PERONNE '59

Jeff PERONNE is the proud owner of this great nostalgia racing '59. What can I say 'bout this car : first time I saw it, simply fell in love. Boy, I love this style.

Jeff is the man (and the Boss in fact) behind Beetle Juice, a good inspired shop located in south of France, in Perpignan to be exact. And what better way to promote a business than a good inspired car...

The base chosen is a little '59 which has been faded using Tampongex (just like this crazy idea...). An EMPI decklid replace the stock one while front hood remains stock. Rims are BRM repro on front while ERCO rims at the rear help to transfer power to the ground...

Interior of the car is race influenced as only two bucket seats give some confort to the driver and his passenger... Talk about low driving when seated in those seats... Crazy... Steering wheel is a Grant, stock speedo remains in place and Autometer tacho and Oil Temp help monitoring the engine. Note the Mega cool red Lee Leighton sticker... Electric fuel pump is located inside the car, flush mounted on firewall (who said noisy???).

Engine is a 1776cc unit which seems to be some kind of firebreather from what I heard... and saw...

Well done Jeff, and keep up the good work!!!
